The seasons are getting colder, which means there is a lot to look forward to! One of the best things about cold nights is warming up with a hot drink cupped between your chilly hands. If you’re getting married during a colder month, you’ll want to find cute, fun ways to keep your guests warm and festive. There are countless warm drinks that you can serve:
- hot chocolate
- hot cider
- hot toddies
- mulled wine
You can make anything alcoholic (or mocktail) to please all of your guests! If you want to serve hot beverages, but are trying to make them more memorable or themed, we have some inspiration for you!
Peppermint/rock sugar is a wonderfully fun way to spruce up a hot drink. If you are serving hot chocolate, provide crushed peppermint sticks on the side for stirring. Rock sugar sticks are an adorable addition to a cup of coffee, tea, or even select cocktails!
Customized sleeves for drinks in paper cups is a great added touch. You can create a stamp based off of the design on your wedding invitation and stamp all of the beverage sleeves! They will look darling in photos and guests can keep them for keepsakes (you know your mom will probably frame it).
Heart-shaped anything gets people going. If you’re serving mulled wine, cut some of the fruit into heart shapes to top it off! You can order heart-shaped marshmallows for hot chocolate or coffee, or heart-shaped sugar cubes for tea!
Make it a bar! People love customization. That may be a reason why do-it-yourself bars at weddings are a growing trend! Making your hot chocolate or apple cider station into a bar gives you lots of ways to add some pizzazz to the drinks. You can add cinnamon sticks, chocolatey or caramelly drizzle, biscotti’s, spoons dipped in peppermint or chocolate, marshmallows, candy shavings, and really anything else that satisfies a sweet tooth!
