Four Seasons is magnificent every time of year! Rebecca Stephen, who manages the Catering and Conference Service at the Four Seasons Vail, gave us the scoop on what each season has to offer! We have a few reasons why the golden leaves in autumn are just as fun as a wintery-white wedding. Spring can offer a quieter town and crisp, sunny weather. And nobody can go wrong with a bustling summer wedding in the Rockies.
Loved by the Texans, native Coloradans and international travelers alike, Four Seasons Vail offers the sophisticated; yet warm atmosphere brides from all over desire. The Bighorn ballroom with chocolate walls, a four-course affair and candelabras is the definition of a jaw-dropping reception (for up to 300). Equally elegant, is a poolside ceremony with an aisle built in the center of the pool. Or one can tie the knot on the Vail Wedding Deck, which has glorious landscape views of snow-tipped peaks and wildflowers as far as the eye can see.
The Four Seasons during the spring is an incredible place to refresh and enjoy the outdoors while abiding in luxury! This spring’s months are already quite booked due to this venue’s popularity, but a lucky bride can still book their wedding during Memorial weekend! Be sure to check out their Gold Calendar profile to make the date yours! The Four Seasons also features a fabulous spa, which offers full services such as body treatments, facials, massages, and nail treatments! Rebecca highly recommends the Alpine Quench Facial, which is designed to nourish dehydrated skin. We’d say that is the perfect post-winter facial!
Rebecca informed us that summer is tied for most popular wedding season at the Four Seasons because “of the warm weather and the endless activities.” Fly fishing, horseback riding, SUPing, ATVing, and a spa are just a few of the ways you can have fun with your bridal party. The view from the Vail Wedding Deck is also especially stunning this time of year! Picture rolling mountains, bountiful wildflowers, and green pine!
Fall is the second bustling wedding season! Rebecca attributes it to the “beautiful colors of the mountains.” Once a year, patches of gold aspens swim between the dark pine. Brides love this season; autumn dates are often the first to go! However, one lucky bride can still book Labor Day in September! Check their Gold Calendar profile to take a look at other fall dates that may still be available!
Rebecca has high praises for the autumn desserts and cocktails such as the Eight Layer Carrot Cake, made with thyme cream, carrot chips and caramel sauce! She also recommends The Fifth Anniversary Cocktail, which is a mixture of Breckenridge vodka, lemon, blueberry, St. Germain, and Veuve Clicquot.
Winter displays charms that are entirely different from any other season at the Four Seasons Vail. There is something considerably more stunning about a warmly lit lodge or ballroom in the winter than any other season. Plus, there are plenty of activities for the bridal party to partake in during the winter season. Adventurous guests love skiing, snowshoeing, and skating during the winter. The mountain is your playground! Don’t forget about the luxury of winding down by booking a service at the spa after your long day in the crisp mountain air.
Rebecca says that the signature Haute Hot Chocolate (made with Valrhona Chocolate) is a must have, especially to cup in cold hands during the chilly night. Rebecca also loves seeing the creative winter blooms that bride choose over the winter months, including cymbidiam orchids, silver brunia, juniper, pine boughs, and vendela roses. Winter florals are remarkable when they are made up of hearty and dense flowers and boughs.
