Three Ways to Use Fur in Your Wedding!

One or two accent pieces of fur look stunning for chilly wedding decor. Whether it is the bride’s shoulders, the sweetheart table, or the backs of chairs, like Midas, fur instantly glamorizes anything it touches. Although it best meshes with rustic, classic, or bohemian styles, you can add fur into your decor for any wedding theme. We picked our three favorite ways to use fur for chilly wedding days. Remember, as always, to click on the highlighted vendors to check their availability on Gold Calendar!

1- Fur Coats

Nothing looks as elegant as a woman in a fur coat. Weddings during the fall to the early spring present an excellent opportunity to dust off your fur (or faux fur) coat or purchase the fur coat that you’ve always wanted. Why should you be miserably cold for your outdoor bridal photos? You won’t be with luxurious fur draped over your shoulders! If your wedding is glam or modern, go with white fur! Tara Bielecki captured such a precious moment between this couple! Her light-colored fur is perfect for her spring wedding.

Because it comes in most neutral colors, you can wear a darker fur than your bridesmaids or vice versa to stand out. For a bridesmaid gift you can even provide fur for your best women to wear when they are bustling from place to place with you. Put off those Romanov vibes by investing in a great fur shawl, wrap, or coat and feel fabulous.

2- Fur Blankets

Fur blankets are mostly for the comfort of your guests. You can bet that your guests will love getting snuggly at your ceremony or reception if you provide fur blankets for them to drape on their shoulders. Not only do they look great as decoration, but you can bet that your guests will love taking photos wrapped up in them. Fur blankets are an excellent idea for an outdoor ceremony, a S’mores or ice cream dessert station, by outdoor fire pits, or even on the backs of lounge furniture.

3- Fur Rugs

Fur rugs are a glamorous accent piece to your decor! For the ceremony, lay a rug under your arch to create a boho or rustic aesthetic. You can also use a fur pelt under your sweetheart table to add some depth to the decor. Plush fur rugs also look great draped over a bench or chairs at the sweetheart table. These items can easily be rented through Eclectic Hive! They have fur pelt rugs in at least  six different colors. We love Eclectic Hive because they have items to rent for ANY theme you can imagine. Fur rugs are just a fraction of their diverse inventory!
