Tablescapes are one of our favorite aspects of wedding decor! Setting a table is more than correctly laying the place settings. Tablescaping brings the flat surface of a table to life! As a host, putting thought and creativity into tabletop decor shows your guest how valued they are at your meal. Wether you’re hosting a dinner party, holiday meal or a wedding reception, putting thought and effort into your table arrangements will be admired. Wedding planners are dominating this newly appreciated art, and our Gold Calendar vendors are setting the bar high!
Like most artistic mediums, tablescaping aesthetically creates a mood. A great tablescape, as we learned from our previous interview with Tangerine Room Events, uses a variety of textures, colors and shapes. Crystal goblets are quickly becoming our favorite way to add some zing to table decor. What makes a goblet different from other glassware is the intricate stem and chalice design. Because they are most often used for ceremonial purposes, they make excellent wedding utensils.
Crystal goblets come in many shapes and textures! Most often they are stemmed, but the variety of shape is in the size of the glass and the length of the stem.
Clear, translucent goblets as seen on the table by Jaclyn Michelle add elegance to the place setting. Note how each texture, the ornate goblet, the blush-hued silk, the golden flatware all add to the intricacy of the tablescape!
We love colored goblets! Regardless of your color palette, you can find a goblet to fit your table. Many wedding planners alternate colored goblets on a table to add more variety.
