Posies and Poms is one of our many favorite floral vendors. The team is made up of two sisters who share a deep passion for beautiful blooms. They use fresh stems, practice creativity, and bring whimsy to all of the weddings they work on.
One of their greatest strengths is making each wedding incredibly unique to the couples they work with. Their eight-step process guides each couple through the work they do to make the wedding florals special and exactly how the happy couple has envisioned it. We were able to interview Genevieve, who gave us the scoop on how they slay each and every wedding.

1) What advice would you give a couple who wants their wedding florals to be completely unique and one of a kind?
Your wedding day and florals should be 100% unique to your style. It’s important to have inspiration photos of flowers ready to show your florist to ensure your styles are compatible. When you’re hiring a florist, you’re hiring their artistic expertise, so make sure you’ve looked through their portfolio and love their art. A good florist will take your inspiration photos, your style, and their artistic abilities and create something beautifully unique for you.
2) Can you describe some of the most unique florals that you created for one of your weddings?
One of our greatest joys in this industry is getting to know our couples. It’s so fun to learn their story and personalities, then try to emulate that in their florals. Every once in a while, we get a couple with a very brave and adventurous style. Brittan and Peter were one of those couples for us. They gave us creative freedom to use whatever fun and funky flowers we could find and implement them into their wedding day. The texture in these bouquets shone through the use of protea and ruffly peonies.
